Server logs
The server records standard HTTP access information (IP address, request path, user agent, timestamp) for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. Logs are retained for a short operational window and are not used for profiling or shared with third parties.
Maps (OpenFreeMap)
Pages that display a map load vector tiles, the map style, and glyph fonts from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org). When a map renders, your browser connects directly to OpenFreeMap; that service therefore receives your IP address and the standard request metadata your browser sends. OpenFreeMap is operated independently of concert.fux. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Images
Entity images are fetched on our server from Wikidata, Cover Art Archive, and Event Art Archive, then cached and served from this origin. Your browser does not contact those services directly.
Outbound links
Pages link to external sources such as MusicBrainz. We send only the origin (no path or query) as the HTTP Referer when you follow a cross-site link.
Mobile apps
The iOS and Android apps work without an account. Saved festivals, concerts, and followed artists are stored on your device; on iOS they additionally sync through your private iCloud. If you enable the nearby filter, the app asks for your approximate location and sends only those coordinates with the search request — they are not stored on our server. Show reminders are scheduled locally on your device. On iOS, notifications for followed artists use a device push token that our server stores solely to deliver those notifications. Festival crew sharing exchanges lineup picks via QR code or through our relay, where crew codes are kept only in hashed form. The apps contain no ads, no third-party analytics, and no trackers.
